Women with pelvic area tattoos...?

I want a tattoo of tropical flowers and poppies around my pelvic area so that it could be hidden with a bikini, but it will be tasteful not skanky. Anyway. I was wondering if I ever decide to have children in the future, when the tattoo stretches out will it most likely go back to normal?

People with experience/who know people who have them there or near their hip who were pregnant

Thanks

Women with pelvic area tattoos...?
It is this simple....if your skin stretches, so will the tattoo....if the skin goes back to normal, so will the tattoo. In young women, the abdominal skin generally has little trouble returning to normal or very very close to it.
Reply:when you get pregant, the area will stretch %26amp; also drop a little

[it would drop alot more if it was your tummy or something]

so your tattoo will end up bigger and could be mis-shaped because of the stretching.

A friend of mine had a tattoo on her pelvic bone and it went to 3 times the normal size when she became pregnant and after she gave birth it dropped and to be honest, it looks awful.

Just think about it a little more before you get it, maybe even get it somewhere else.

Hope i helped %26amp; good luck with it!
Reply:I agree with the others - really there is no way to know what your skin will do and how it will look afterwards.

I'm really small and when I had my son (14 years ago) I gained about 35 pounds.

I have a flat stomach - but never like it was before having him. Pregnancy does things to your muscles that can never be taken back :) And my skin stretched and has just never gone back to being the same as it was - hard to describe.

My point is - your skin/lower stomach will never go back to "normal" after having a child. May get close, but never quite be the same.

It's a risky place to put a tattoo with out a doubt.
Reply:I have three kids. But I got may tattoo after having them. In my opinion it depends on your skin. Some womens skin is quite elastic and bounces back pretty good others don't. A pretty good guide is what your mom's skin is like, heredity plays a big role. My mom had 5 of us girls and not one stretch mark, I am the youngest of the 5 and all my sisters had 3 kids each and none of us got any stretch marks. My tattoo is just under the bikini line, I have had it for 5 years now and it has not changed. But I am not sure if I would have had it before I got pregnant with my last child, (I gained 40lbs for him and he was 10lbs at birth) needless to my stomach was huge even my belly button popped out. Maybe you could ask the tattoo artist or your doctor. Hope this was helpful.
Reply:All tatoos are skanky, so good luck with that.

Giving yourself a tramp stamp is not gonna be tasteful.
