What kind of non toxic houseplants do well in a bathroom?

I've read that tropical houseplants do well in bathrooms. My bathroom is fairly brigh. I am planning on having the plant in ahanging basket, so I'd prefer a plant that trails or hangs down %26amp; is non toxic.

What would be a good starter bathroom plant for a novice plant keeper/gardner?

Are their any that flower of have a nice fragrance?

Depends on the light available to keep the plant alive. They don't grow in dark and a light bulb won't do.

Pothos is a good starter plant and rewarding. Spider plants are fun. Also hoya but can be slow and not as full as the other plants, but very forgiving. Brighter lights you have various Wandering Jews.
Reply:I have a spider plant hanging in my bathroom and it is really nice. No flowering though. It likes the humidity but the hot/humid and then cold cycles isn't good for most plants - it dries out fast.
Reply:ferns love low light and humidity.

OR you can read up on orchids and try your hand at growing orchids.
Reply:Pothos do very well. Any variation of aglonoema do well in low light. Both are very novice friendly. Silver bay aglonoema actually clean toxins out of the air.
Reply:venus flytraps
