Which flowers represents a tropical theme for a wedding?
stargazer lilies would be nice
Reply:Hibiscus or Birds of Paradise are amazing. Orchids too.
Reply:Bird of Paradise flower
Reply:Hibiscus is great for tropical weddings and would look great in the bridesmaids hair. also add some lillies to the decorations...perhaps some palm fronds too.

I agree with birds of paradise but I prefer orchids like these
Dendrobiums. They are usually easier to find and can be in just about any color. They remind me of Hawaii! They are also a good size to put in hair.
Other orchids would look just as good.
Reply:Star gazer llilies, Jasmine,Bouganveilla(thorny but I did it),Honeysuckle,Gerber daisey ,And even baby,s breath as a filler. my boquet was a Star Gazer lily with streams of Jasmine and bougaviella.
Reply:Bird of Paradise, Orchids, Passion Flower

Is there a good tropical nursery for flowers, plants and trees in Austin, TX?
@ome Depot or #owes (can't use the real names, or someone will report) will have plants for your area or google your zip code for nursery's and you'll find them that way.
Does anyone know a place i can get tropical hibiscus flowers in the Pittsburgh area?
It depends where you live. If you're on the East side, there's a small place called Hibbits in Murraysville. They are just a little family owned place. I'm sure they have (or can get you) a hibiscus.

What are some names of Purple Tropical Flowers?
"Among the various kinds of purple tropical flowers, mention may be made of Sacred Lilac (Melia azedarach). This plant belongs to the mahogany family and is a favorite hub of birds that cherish the fruits of this purple tropical plant. A sacred lilac, though hails from Asia, is now profoundly found in the forests of United States. They serve the purpose of a good insecticide and are thus used in a rampant scale.
Another important purple tropical flower is Buddleia 'Black Knight'. Petals of these flowers are dark blue in color and so bees come flocking towards them and so does the butterflies. These purple tropical flowers bloom from mid summer to early fall and these plants love to bask in the sunlight. To top it all, a black knight also has an intoxicating fragrance. Orchids, too, has their special species of purple tropical flower called Phalaenopsis orchids and Dendrobium orchids. A dendrobium orchid can survive in all kinds of atmosphere like, the humid zones of Asia to the hot, dry stretches of Australian desert.
A Phalaenopsis orchid, better known as moth orchid, is common among all florists. For their outwardly beauty, these purple tropical flowers are widely used for keeping in vases. Datura is another important purple tropical flower with wide shaped petals. Know more about tropical flowers from the pages of Dgreetings.com. "

What flowers will grow and flower best in a tropical climate?
i am new in gardening and i want our place to be surrounded by colorful plants and flowers but i am just no so sure what will thrive in our country - tropical climate, avg temp here is 28-30 C, and we only have dry and wet seasons.
What flowers will grow and flower best in a tropical climate?
Here's a list of flowering plants that you may consider for your garden.
Heliconias, kalachuchi, bougainville, orchids, medinilla magnifica and mums. If you're in the Philippines, I can tell you to go to the Manila Seedlings to check out the wide variety available of each kind.
Reply:ask the local market what they would recommend. unless you are going to tell us where exactly you are.
Reply:cannas?
Reply:You don't mention exactly where you live...... that info would help *a lot*.
If you'll give that info, I can help.
Nicole
Reply:You are very fortunate you will be able to grow almost anything. Head to your nearest garden center - they have all kinds of suggestions. Get and book with lots of pictures and you can pick out your favorite.
Reply:Obviously tropical flowers e.g. hibiscus, boganvilleas etc. However conditions can be similated e.g. in hot houses. This way, you can grow flowers from other countries - roses, sun flowers etc, etc. Plants are generally quite hardy: however if you grow them in pots i.e. a smaller environment then you have to watch the conditions more e.g. if raining then not too much water. Other things to watch for are the amount of sun and shade e.g the sun goes from East to West. How is your house facing? Some plants like those with variegated leaves need lots of sun. Other indoor plants that thrive in the tropics as undergrowth in the forest cannot take sun even though they thrive in the tropical climate. This is a fun hobby. However you get out what you put in. To create artistic effects you need to know the size of various types of plants. You need to prune to "train" the plant and provide the shape. With interest and enthusiasm, you start small and read and try! You will have lots of fun. Good Luck

What are those lush vines with the HUGE tropical looking flowers on them?
I'm seeing all these dark green lush vining plants around ppl's homes which also have these huge (12 or more inches long) white tropical looking flowers! Any idea what they are?
What are those lush vines with the HUGE tropical looking flowers on them?
Moonflowers?
Reply:Mandevillas have huge blooms. So do clematis.
Reply:Those are carnivorous plants. Keep small children and pets away from them.
Reply:Given the size of the bloom I am guessing White Wisteria or angel trumpet
Reply:Twelve inches sounds too big, but the rest of your identification fits the description of a moonflower. Do the flowers you are seeing open at night (moonflowers do)? If it is a moonflower, it is extremely fragrant.
Reply:if it only blooms in the evenings, it is moonflowers...they are
huge and smell wonderful
Reply:I think you are talking about clematis. It comes in lots of colors.

Does anyone know where i can buy zen nature's tropical flowers brazilian exotic aromatherapy oil?
i bought this oil from diamond beauty 2 years ago. They don't carry zen nature products any longer. This is one of the best smelling oils i've ever had. I can find tropical fruits, but i REALLY want the tropical flowers. The company is based in brazil, but distributed by Swan Walk Ltd in Santa Monica CA. The phone number that was on my bottle is smudged off. Any help is appreciated.

Tropical flowers?
I'm choosing peach/orange, green, and blue for my wedding. I want to use a different type of flower for each color for m centerpieces. My wedding is also on the beach. Does anyone have any ideas for some tropical flowers I can use? Nothing tacky or huge. I like orchids and mini calla lillies but they don't come cheap. Ideas?
Tropical flowers?
I can think of alot of tropical flowers, but they may fall into the catagory of being to hugh and tacky,I've never looked at flowers in that way. When I think of the beach I see plumeria, lantana, oleander, bird of paradise, which is a big flower, but you can cut the stem to what ever size you need! This is a good flower to tie the peach/orange,green%26amp;blue colors together, I said lantana, but that isn't goo because the blooms come apart to easy. You need solid flowers to hold up to the heat[if you marry in the summer]. You need to go window shopping at a local florist or a farmers market that sell flowers in bulk. It is easier to decide what you want if you can visually see it and smell it, mabe you want flowers that smell good mabe someone may sensative to the sweet smell.
Hydrangea is a good flower for your blue flower.
Wish I could help you more. Have a wonderful beautiful marriage and remember : Always Keep Peace of Mind
Reply:I suggest you use Hibiscus flowers, especially the Rose of China or hibiscus rosa-sinensis. It is very tropical and it will surely add an exotic taste in your wedding.
